ME.TA course -ManagER of TrAnsition

Learning objectives

ME.TA for Net Zero districts aims to train professionals capable of understanding ongoing transformations, activating innovation processes, and building operational scenarios that make cities more resilient, efficient, and inclusive, strengthening the role of Public Administration as a driver of change.

The course addresses aspects of energy and ecological transition with a synergistic and cross-cutting approach, an operational focus, and a practical perspective on the topics to enable public employees to consolidate a sustainable approach to the management and transformation of public assets, and acquire new, more specific and detailed skills on highly relevant topics, through the presentation of case studies and practical examples.

Target audience and delivery method

The course is designed for political representatives, officials, and both technical and administrative staff from the Municipalities of Bergamo, Rome, Parma, and Prato who deal daily with city management, working within relevant departments and offices such as public works, urban planning, environment, green spaces, energy, and mobility.

The course consists of online seminars and an in-person workshop session, for a total of 40 hours of training distributed as follows:

• 8 lessons of 3 hours each in online webinar format for a total of 24 hours;
• 8 hours of individual study, one hour after each webinar, to explore the material provided by instructors and complete the final module test;
• 1 workshop of 8 hours in person for each city (access to workshops is reserved for participants selected by the public administrations of Prato, Parma, Bergamo, and Rome, partners of the Net Zero Districts project).

It is possible to follow the entire course or only the modules of interest.

Training credits

Training credits will be awarded individually for each lesson actually attended, upon completion of an online test to certify live participation or viewing of the webinars on-demand through video recordings. It is possible to request certificates of attendance for each lesson actually attended using the methods described above.

Participants - registered with the following Professional Orders and Associations - will be awarded 3 CFP as a "seminar" for each webinar attended in full:

  • Order of Architects PPC
  • Order of Engineers
  • Order of Industrial Experts and Graduate Industrial Experts
  • Association of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors.
